This is my entry for the Summer Contest of the Ayame fanclub. Ayame wears a black simple bikini with chinese dragon patterns (Tatsumaru...^^u). This piece took me so long, I've had it drawn one week ago, but I'm realy bad at coloring xD
Hope you like it.
Comments and constructive critics, please. I know I'm so far from being good at this xD
Well, if you ask me, I think your coloring works very well for the piece, however, it seems flat. If you don't want flat colors, you can try adding some volume by applying darker shades of color and lighter shades for highlights. Because Ayame will have increased contrast, this will help her pop out more instead of competing for detail from that water background. Hope this helps.
I especially like the line work. Did you draw on large sheets of paper to get your lines that thin?
Holy cow! Bad at coloring?? Then I should quit before trying, my friend; this piece is really nice colored IMO. Specially the hair, and the skin looks soft and smooth. Well done!
My only complaint is that you hided her legs. Legs could have been a great add for a complete beach-bikini-sexygirl drawing
Thanks for the advice ^^ I'll try in my next colouring. Well, somehow I tried in this one too, but in the end I simplified the colors again (not satisfied). Volume is difficult xD
The lineart was made in a DinA4 paper, and then redrawn in Photoshop.
Well, I'm not very satisfied with the coloring, but I haven't colour in PC since last Ice Age xDD
It wasn't my intention to hide her legs, but I ran out of paper and the drawing stops there xD I could draw her legs completely in pc, but I'm so lazy... maybe next time

I see. I've tried redrawing line art on Photoshop in the past, but it just looks really weird, heheh. Maybe I should use the pen tool...
No prob, glad I could help.
